Sometimes words are hard to find. My black cat sympathy card is for those sad and challenging times when you want to let someone know you are thinking of them.

This gothic thinking of you card features my original pen and ink illustration of a long-haired black cat, looking up with large, luminous green eyes — quietly present, attentive, and listening. There is something deeply comforting about a cat's calm, knowing company. This black furry cat is a sensitive card to send to friends and loved ones who are in need of sympathy, and a hug.

A heartfelt bereavement card or thinking of you card for cat lovers, and those who appreciate a more considered alternative to the usual flowers and verses, which are often just not right. Perfect for Gothic and alternative friends, or anyone who finds solace in the quiet companionship of a black cat and darker things.

I designed this card by hand here in my small UK studio. My cards are printed here in the UK in small sustainable quantities, on thick smooth white cardstock — tactile to hold and easy to write on. Paired with a deep stormy grey envelope, which feels quietly apt for life's more difficult moments. I hope this card brings a little comfort to someone who needs it.
